BEHIND OUR
ACTIVE COLLECTION

Celebrating Women & Wellness

Here’s how we brought your favorite Activewear story to life

Every campaign begins with a vision—a feeling, a mantra, an essence we want to capture. For this shoot, our mood board was built around the energy of women who embody both strength and elegance. We focused on fluid movement, and an ethereal glam aesthetic to reflect the dynamic, multi-faceted nature of modern women.

Mood Boards and Inspiration

Every campaign starts with a spark—an image, a feeling, or a mantra. For this shoot, we built a mood board focused on the energy of women who lead with both strength and elegance. Fluid movement, bold poses, and an ethereal glam vibe were front and center to reflect the multi-faceted nature of modern women.

Our pose boards centered around empowering stances—think intentional movement, confident strides, and relaxed stretches that celebrate fitness and well-being at any level.

Get the Look: Tips &Tricks

Glam for this shoot was inspired by the concept of "post-workout radiance"—a flushed, natural beauty paired with slicked-back wet hair reminiscent of leaving a supercharged yoga session or cardio class. Thanks to our expert hair stylist, Chelsea Ortiz, we were able to create the signature wet hair look you’ve already been loving in our sneak peeks on Instagram.

Chelsea shared a pro tip for getting that juicy gym-hair vibe at home, no matter your hair type. Here’s what she recommends for styling firmly yet naturally:

"The key to any wet hair look is knowing your hair’s porosity. For low porosity hair, water-based gels, mousses, and pomades work best. For high porosity hair, opt for creamier products like leave-ins, serums, and gels." - Chelsea Ortiz, Celebrity Hairstylist

Pair this look with a barely-there shimmery eyeshadow, tinted moisturizer, and lightweight lip oil for the ultimate glow-up.

Women & Wellness Event

We celebrated the launch of our JLUX Active Collection at Revive Studio LA on International Women’s Day! Our guests arrived in their favorite JLUX Active pieces and experienced guided Pilates classes, fresh juices, healthy bites, and self-care goodies! It was a day of inspiring conversations around what it means to take care of ourselves holistically, how we can better support one another on our wellness journeys, and how each woman’s approach to self-care and wellness has evolved over the years. The divine feminine energy was flowing all day, with friendships deepening, new ones beginning, and an overall feel of support and connectedness surrounding the day. We are so deeply grateful for our JLUX community and couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate women in all our forms!

Women & Wellness
A Celebration of Strength

The real heart of this campaign is Women & Wellness, our special event held in honor of International Women’s Month. More than an event, it’s a movement designed to support women’s health and celebrate the stories of female founders paving the way forward.

Event Highlights

Q: What is a myth in women’s wellness that you wish people knew more about?

Sara Hood: I think there’s a misconception about what strength looks like for women. We wait too long before we advocate for ourselves, before we got to the hospital, and before we tell someone

Q: How do you think women can better support each other on their wellness journeys?

Ashleigh Goins: I think the best way for women to support each other is checking in on each other. I really do believe if you just call or text somebody, that can make somebody’s day and get them going, get them up, invite them to a workout class, go for a walk, have dinner. I think that’s really important and builds community.

Q: What are some unique health challenges that women face, and how do you navigate them?

Aja Walker: I feel like the internet and social media has affected women - they have to look at these images that are a facade or fake, so I feel like we should all stay off social media for a good few hours a day just because it helps with your mental health. Don’t compare yourself because everything on the internet is not true!
